GOSPEL OF BARNABAS - TRUE OR FALSE?
Few things more aptly attest to the relative scholarship of Islam's Muftis and Imams, than their suggestion that the so-called "Gospel of Barnabas" was left out of the New Testament because it is the only true Gospel, as opposed to the inspired Gospel witness records of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John - the whole subect of which they must of course deny. The following excerpt from the Gospel of Barnabas should make it readily apparent, that any Islamic "scholar" that makes such a suggestion has obviously never even read the Gospel of Barnabas, but is simply parroting Islamic dissimulation. An excerpt:
Gospel of Barnabas Chapter 97 Then said the priest: "How shall the Messiah be called, and what sign shall reveal his coming?" Jesus answered: "The name of the Messiah is admirable, for God himself gave him the name when he had created his soul, and placed it in a celestial splendour. God said: "Wait Muhammad; for your sake I will to create paradise, the world, and a great multitude of creatures, whereof I make you a present, insomuch that whoever shall bless you shall be blessed, and whoever shall curse you shall be accursed. When I shall send you into the world I shall send you as my Messenger of salvation, and your word shall be true, insomuch that heaven and earth shall fail, but your faith shall never fail." Muhammad is his blessed name." Then the crowd lifted up their voices, saying: "O God send us your Messenger: O Muhammad, come quickly for the salvation of the world!"
In the Gospel that some of Islam's teachers cite as being the only true Gospel, that was supposedly removed from among the inspired books of the Bible - Jesus is quoted as proclaiming that Muhammad is the Messiah! Is that what even the Quran teaches? The preposterous fraud of the so-called Gospel of Barnabas, that is effectively a hoax, even refers to Muhammad by name!
Those Imams cite the book in ignorance or taqiyyah even though, as one of the following sites suggests, there are 32 reasons that demonstrate that the Gospel of Barnabas is a Muslim forgery written in about 1585 AD. There is an abundance of websites on the internet that expose this foolish fraud, yet Islamic Imams persist in proclaiming it valid! Are we to believe that these teachers could somehow remain ignorant to the truth, or do they continue to bring it up, even after learning about its content and dating? If these self-proclaimed "teachers" are so willing to lie about something as transparently false as this, what does that tell us about their willingness to advance any sort of lie regarding the 1600 year record of YHWH to mankind, as delivered through all of His prophets and witnesses, that His people have followed through two covenants for 3500 years? As in the case of Ahmed Deedat for example.
