JESUS' CRUCIFIXION IN PROPHECY

Early on in Yahweh's revelation to mankind we read

Leviticus 17:11 For the life of the flesh [is] in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it [is] the blood [that] maketh an atonement for the soul.

We have over 5300 partial or complete manuscripts of the New Testament that were penned prior to fourth century A.D., that uniformly attest to the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the Messiah, to save all from sin who have faith in His shed blood.

By the 7th century the Gospel had been translated into every popular language, copied tens of thousands of times, and had been read all over the known world for centuries. In the 7th century Muhammad said:

Sura 5:47 Let the people of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.

As one of the "people of the Gospel" I certainly don't "fail to judge by" what Yahweh "revealed therein". The whole subject of the Gospel is the sacrifice of the sinless Messiah, the spotless Lamb of God, who sacrificed Himself to save all from sin who have faith in His shed blood.

John 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. 18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

It wasn't the first time that Yahweh had manifest Himself in the flesh of a man, as He had revealed Himself this way to Abraham, according to the 18th chapter of Genesis. Please see the "God Manifest as a Man" video for more.

Let's start with Jesus' own prophecy of His crucifixion.

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me. 45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 And ye are witnesses of these things.

What prophecy "written ... in the Psalms", penned so many hundreds of years before the Messiah was made manifest, or revealed to mankind, was Jesus referring to?

Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I may tell all my bones: they look [and] stare upon me. 18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.*

Fulfilled

Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

Mark 15:24 And when they had crucified him, they parted his garments, casting lots upon them, what every man should take.

Luke 24:20 And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

John 19:23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also [his] coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Here's an example from one of the Old Testament "prophets" that Jesus mentioned when Zechariah was prophesying of Jesus Second Coming.

Zechariah 12:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. 10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for [his] only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

John 19:37 And again another scripture saith, They shall look on him whom they pierced.

Old Testament

Isaiah 53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither [was any] deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put [him] to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong [his] days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.

New Testament

1Peter 2:22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously: 24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

Matthew 20:17 And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them, 18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, 19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify [him]: and the third day he shall rise again.

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Yet Muhammad taught his followers to reject the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, the whole purpose of the Messiah, and the whole subject of the Gospel.

When Christians point out that Muhammad declared the EXACT OPPOSITE of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Muslims declare we are insulting their prophet, without even recognizing that it is a two-way street. We can see from the above that they must believe that all of the prophets and witnesses of Jesus were liars, while Muhammad, 600 years later declared the EXACT OPPOSITE.

Sometimes Muslims even declare that God wouldn't let a prophet suffer or be killed, as if it were their opinion that matters rather than what is revealed in the Gospel, but that is contrary even to their own books.

Quran 2.61 ... This because they went on rejecting the Signs of Allah and slaying His Messengers without just cause.

Quran 3.112 ... This because they rejected the Signs of Allah, and slew the prophets in defiance of right; this because they rebelled and transgressed beyond bounds.

After Muhammad thought a demon tried to squeeze the life out of him three times in a cave, his wife Khadijah talked him into believing it was a divine being, rather than the demon Muhammad believed it to be. Khadijah's own father was into the occult and used to get his news from jinn devils, so she was well familiar with unclean spirits, and indeed there was no shortage of occultism throughout Muhammad's family.

Some time after Muhammad's encounter in that cave, he got into a funk in which he stopped receiving "revelations", and he even became suicidal over it. Once again his wife Khadijah interviened and sent him to her cousin Waraqa, who was a leading figure in the Mecca sect of the Sabians, that he and three more of Muhammad's relatives founded and called "Ahnaf". Muhammad became so deeply involved in this occult cult, and it's practices, that locals sometimes referred to him simply as "the Sabian". Indeed Muhammad mentions the occult cult of the Sabians right alongside Christians and Jews in his Quran. It's interesting to note that the Sabians.....

1. prayed five times a day

2. performed ablution

3. prostrated while praying

4. fasted for 30 days upon observing the crescent moon

5. wore long white robes

Back to Waraqa bin Naufal, Khadijah's cousin, he was an Ebionite occult priest, who also used to spend time in the same caves of Harra', in which Muhammad encountered his demon.

Surah 4:157 That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Thus Muhammad filled his followers with complete resolve as to what to DISbelieve. Specifically what to DENY, while leaving a complete vacuum as to just who did die on the cross. In other words Muhammad's followers "...who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow..."

So what kind of an "angel" would make someone feel like the life was being squeezed out of him three times? Christians can easily understand Muhammad's encounter in that cave that eventually inspired him to declare the exact opposite of the whole subject of Gospel of Jesus Christ.

2Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

There is no point in discussing anything further in regard to the self-proclaimed prophet Muhammad's stand-alone 7th century invention. Muhammad's Quran is as exactly and perfectly opposite of the Gospel, as Muhammad was the exact and perfect opposite of the sinless Messiah, Jesus Christ. The Prince of Peace.
